As usual, your words make my heart swell and eyes tear. Just beautiful Em. Your Rosie seemed like a wonderful woman, and how lucky your kiddos are to have you as a Mum. xxx Mads

Oh Mads, thank you darling. Rosie was sublime, I think of her all the time. And those Rugrats, they are lucky and also, delulu which is a heady combination!! Xxx

Beautiful words. I'm a mother with 20 somethings wondering what lies ahead giving advice only when requested and a daughter of aging parents tending to their needs now.

The sandwich of littlies and oldies. The loving never stops, does it. X

I can’t tell you how much I loved this. I am currently in Florence on holiday, a wife, a mother, a grandmother. It’s made me tear up and I will forward to my 3 grown children now parenting.

It’s just so true and parenting never ends, hopefully I am still in my children’s thoughts as they are in mine. I love your writing. Xx

Such a beautiful comment, thank you Mandy. The loving certainly never ends, it just keeps on echoing and reverberating. When we teeter on whether to grow our family or not, I like to think of the grown ups we will be surrounded by, and their own children. Florence! I hope it was magnificent!!! X

I’d return to Verona ahead of Florence and I’m not sure if its only because of Romeo!
