While he sleeps is my newsletter scribbled while my children nap. I started it when my son was born - who is now three - and now I have a daughter as well but the name has stuck. Plus I no longer have a Canva account and who has the time to change a logo?
I write about my slice of life in the Aussie bush - parenting, living across the road from my sister, loving on my dishy sculptor husbo, what I’m reading, what I’m listening to, what I’m cooking, what I’m seeing in my world. Experiences of a woman in her mid-30s in the trenches, juggling creativity with a young family and what a successful life looks like. All of the things, all of the time.
I’m a freelance journalist who writes for glossy mags like Women’s Weekly, Country Style, Graziher and Signature Luxury Travel. In another life I used to be on the telly as a journo for regional news. Now my hair isn’t so good and that’s ok.
I also host a podcast for Graziher magazine called Life on the Land. We tell the stories of women living across rural and remote Australia. It’s bloody good.
I live in regional Australia and adore it. I never quite grew out of my pony-obsessed lil girl era and I’m pleased about it. When I’m not writing and podcasting I’m riding, or dreaming about it.
